The "Hilbert Cube" is the latest 3D printing project in Middle School. Although the Hilbert Cube looks like a "cube," it's actually more of a topographical brain-teaser. In one quarter, the students' 3D modeling skills have advanced to the point where they can complete a complex model like this. Although this is an in-class assignment, 8th grader Alejandra chose to stay up late to work on the assignment at home and complete it early! She finished it in class yesterday and we were able to print it today. Here you can see her design in "Sketchup," the 3D modeling program, and the final result printed from glow-in-the-dark material!
